"verbose"

Exercise: Write a short story that explains the meaning of the word "verbose"

"Mahatma Gandhi is well-known as and beloved for being the Father of our Nation. This title of respect was bestowed upon him as a way of honoring the work he did to build up the great and independent nation of India - much as a Father raises a young son to a strong and noble man. Gandhi's illustrious career brought him from the dark and treacherous lands of South Africa to the lavish British courts..."

The students of the History class shuffled and sighed. The history teacher was way too verbose. Everything he said could be condensed into two or three sentences.

"Gandhi is known as the Father of our Nation because of his role in helping India gain independence."

Maybe, just one.

Not that anyone would want to hear about it either way.
