MILLION LAMPS FOR HUMANITY
A
million lamps, maybe ten million - lighted and offered to the souls who gave up
their lives to save others. I was very pleased with my idea. Now, people can
get a chance to show their appreciation for all the few amazing people who
still had humanity left in them. I finally reached the area where I had set
everything up - a small, neatly maintained, old, ancestral marbled area in
front of a calm temple. The shops near the area helped us a lot to provide all
the materials needed for this event. They also helped us distribute the lamps.
You could see it - crowded shops distributing oil, oil lamps along with match
boxes and big-hearted people showing their appreciation by lighting the lamps.
There were many young children lighting their lamp and placing it on the floor,
giving light to take over the darkness and evil in the world. This was exactly
what I wanted to happen when I read about the group of twenty people who fought
against corruption in the major sectors of the government and were killed in a
fake encounter case. Now, at least, there is a sign to everyone that there is
still humanity left on world.
